About the Author – Jason Thompson
Author. Husband. Father. Bridge Builder. Legacy Reclaimer.
My name is Jason Thompson, and I founded Jinsei Books not to chase likes or numbers—but to tell the truth. The kind of truth that gets buried under generational pain, toxic pride, and performative success. The kind that sets people free.
I grew up in small-town Kentucky, raised by a Korean-American mother whose quiet strength and relentless love planted the seeds of who I would one day become. My father taught me grit and work ethic, but also the hard lessons of unprocessed pain and the cost of emotional suppression. I’ve walked through trauma, battled ego, buried my younger brother, and still managed to rise—not polished, but whole.
Today, I’m a husband to Deborah, my best friend and partner in everything, and a father to two amazing boys, Jaxon and Jadon. They’re the reason I do this work—the reason I unlearn, relearn, and keep showing up with presence, purpose, and integrity.
Writing isn’t just my outlet—it’s my calling.
Books like Manhood Redefined weren’t written for popularity. They were written for the men silently drowning in expectations they never chose. For the sons raised by broken fathers. For the ones who know there has to be more than performance-driven masculinity.
Coming soon, I’ll also be sharing the story of my Korean grandmother—a woman whose life, sacrifice, and silent power helped shape every generation that came after her. That book will be for anyone who carries cultural complexity, ancestral weight, and a deep desire to honor where they come from without being trapped by it.
This store exists for people like me—and maybe people like you.
Those who are tired of pretending. Ready to heal. And hungry to lead a life that means something.
Welcome to Jinsei Books.
Welcome to life—redefined.
